Privacy policy
LabelWhisk (labelwhisk.com) is run by an independent developer ("we"). There are no user accounts. This page lists everything we keep and everyone who handles your data for us.
Recipes you haven't paid for
They're saved only in your browser's local storage on your device. They aren't sent to us while you build and preview a label. Clearing your browser data deletes them.
Recipes you've paid for
When you unlock a recipe, we store on our server: the product name, the recipe (ingredients, amounts, nutrient values, serving details), the version used for your last clean download, and dates (when you unlocked it, renamed it, and downloaded files). We need these to produce your files, to let you open the recipe in another browser with your license key, and to apply the refund and same-product rules in our terms. We keep them for as long as you can download the recipe. Email us to have them deleted; that also ends your access to the recipe.
Your license key and payment
Payments are handled by Creem (creem.io), our merchant of record. Creem collects your name, email address and payment details and sends you the receipt and license key; we never see your card details. Creem's own privacy policy applies to what it collects. From Creem we receive and keep the order and checkout identifiers, the product you bought, and your license key. We store the key only as a one-way hash. The readable key is kept only until this site shows it to you once after checkout, then deleted.
Photos of nutrition labels
If you use "read from a photo", the photo is sent through our server to DeepSeek (Hangzhou DeepSeek Artificial Intelligence Co., Ltd.), whose model reads the numbers. DeepSeek processes API requests on servers in the People's Republic of China under its own terms. We don't store the photo. Don't use this feature for anything you don't want to share with DeepSeek; you can always type the numbers in instead.
To limit how many photos each visitor can have read per day, we count readings by IP address (IPv6 addresses by their /64 network). The address is stored as a one-way hash, kept for the current day (UTC) only, and deleted on the next reading after that day. Buyers' readings are counted by license instead.
Hosting and logs
The site runs on Cloudflare, which processes every request, including your IP address, to deliver and protect it. We use request logs only to keep the service running and to find errors or abuse.
Cookies and tracking
We don't use analytics, advertising or tracking cookies. The editor keeps your recipes and license key in your browser's local storage so they're there next time; nothing in it is used to track you.
If you email support@labelwhisk.com, we keep the conversation for as long as we need it to help you and to keep records of refunds.
Your choices
You can ask us what we hold about a license key, or to correct or delete it, at support@labelwhisk.com. We don't sell personal information or share it for advertising.
Changes
If this policy changes, we'll update the date at the top. Material changes will be noted on this page.
