Terms of service
These terms cover your use of LabelWhisk at labelwhisk.com (the "Service"), run by an independent developer ("we"). By using the Service you agree to them.
1. What the Service does
LabelWhisk calculates nutrition information from a recipe you enter and lays it out as a US Nutrition Facts label in the standard vertical format, with an ingredient list and an allergen statement. It rounds values and computes % Daily Values following 21 CFR 101.9. Nutrient data comes from USDA FoodData Central or from values you enter.
2. Your label is your responsibility
The FDA does not pre-approve food labels, and neither do we. The business selling the food is responsible for its label. The results depend on the data you enter: ingredient weights, the USDA foods or supplier values you choose, serving size, allergens, sub-ingredients, and the batch weight after cooking. Check the label, including the details on page two of the PDF, before you print it. LabelWhisk doesn't check serving sizes against FDA reference amounts, nutrient content or health claims, or state and foreign rules. Nothing on this site is legal or regulatory advice.
3. What a recipe purchase includes
- A purchase gives you one recipe slot (or five, for the five-recipe option). Unlocking a recipe uses a slot and covers one product.
- For 12 months from unlocking, you can edit that recipe and download clean PDF, SVG and PNG files as often as you like. After that, you can still download the last version you downloaded; a $10 renewal gives another 12 months of edits.
- The product name is set when you unlock the recipe and printed on its files. You can correct it once within 24 hours.
- Edits must keep it the same product. The Service compares each download with the first one; if less than 70% of the batch weight is in common, it refuses and asks you to buy a separate recipe. Within 24 hours of the first download you can reset that comparison once, in case the first version had a mistake. If you think a refusal is wrong, email us.
- You may use the files on your own products' packaging, website and sales materials, and give them to your designer and printer. Don't resell the Service or share a license key to make labels for other businesses' products.
4. License keys
Your license key is the only way to access what you bought. Keep it safe; it's also in your receipt email from Creem. Anyone with the key can open and download its recipes. We can't recover access without the key or the order details.
5. Payments
Payments are processed by Creem, our merchant of record, in US dollars; taxes are added where required. Prices are listed on the home page and may change for future purchases; a change never affects what you've already bought.
6. Refunds
See the refund policy: full refund within 14 days if no clean file has been downloaded, and whenever a calculation or file error on our side can't be fixed. A refund or chargeback closes the purchase and its license key.
7. Free features and fair use
The editor, the watermarked preview and the blank template are free. Photo reading has daily limits. Don't try to get around the limits, the watermark or the licensing, or interfere with the Service. We may block access that does.
8. Availability and changes
We work to keep the Service available but don't promise it will be uninterrupted. If we ever shut it down, we'll announce it on this site in advance so buyers can download their files.
9. Disclaimer and limitation of liability
The Service is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind, including that labels it produces meet any particular regulation or a buyer's requirements. To the fullest extent allowed by law, we aren't liable for indirect or consequential losses (such as reprinting packaging, recalls, or lost sales), and our total liability for any claim is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
10. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the latest version; continuing to use the Service after a change means you accept it.
